Award Winning Principal Anita Wiklém
of Wiklém Design inc.

Wonderfully curious and resourceful, as a young child Anita Wiklém was creating floor plans to scale before she was even able to read.  Raised on a small farm in Ørland, Norway, Anita would often choose to spend her time building intricate miniature houses, furnishing them with distinctive Lego, cardboard, wood, clay and paper mache custom creations.

As her talent grew, there were predictions of acting or of becoming a famous designer.  In fact, Anita earned her diploma in theatre, majoring in set, costume, make-up and acting.  After leaving Norway in 1990, Anita attended The University College of the Fraser Valley in British Columbia, Canada, earning a spot on the Dean's List and picking up an award for Outstanding Achievement In Academic Studies in Arts & Theatre.

Pursuing her passion led Anita to Pacific Design Academy in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.  Armed with an Honors diploma in Interior Design & Decorating (1993), Anita has been creating beautiful spaces throughout North America and Europe.  Now settled down in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

An extensive portfolio is testament to Anita's vast experience and genuine gift for creating living spaces that are breathtakingly beautiful and truly functional.
